£45-65k (DOE) + Benefits package & Hybrid working

Our client are a vibrant company who operate in the Nuclear, Defence and Buildings industries.
 
They are seeking a talented and driven sales engineer to support the sales team in business winning activities across all their business units. The successful candidate wil do this by being the link between engineering / operations and sales. You will lead the technical aspects of bids within the sales team to support the company achieving its annual order intake targets.
 
Responsibilities
 
·Foster collaboration between sales, engineering, and project teams to streamline business-winning operations.
·Effectively communicate the client's full technical capabilities to both existing and potential customers.
·Provide timely and accurate interpretation of customer requirements to the business.
·Help to support the timely and high-quality delivery of bids and proposals.
·Facilitate smooth contract handover to business unit/project delivery teams.
·Contribute subject matter expertise to drive business success.
·Ensure all bids comply with health and safety regulations and our certified BMS (PMI).
·Support the development of bid models and content for business-winning gate processes.
·Represent the company at exhibitions, summits, and business development events.
·Assist in reporting, forecasting, and ensuring data accuracy and availability.
·Embody and promote our company values in all aspects of work.
 
What do you need to succeed?
 
·An engineering background (Mechanical, Electrical or C&I would be ideal)
·Organized, self-motivated, and customer-focused
·Strong problem solvers with excellent decision-making skills
·Effective communicator with both listening and presentation abilities
·Team players with strong interpersonal skills
·Proficient in written and technical communication
·Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
·Skilled in MS Office, including Word and PowerPoint
·Willing to develop sales, financial, and commercial skills
