An exciting opportunity has a risen for a Regional Director (Structural Engineering) to join a busy and successful design consultancy in the South West.   

About the company
The company have been servicing their extensive client base for over 70 years, establishing their multidisciplinary engineering services and reputation in the UK. Covering a variety of buildings and infrastructure sectors, they are looking to appoint an experienced Regional Director to complement their structural design team in their Bristol office.

Role & Responsibilities
The Regional Director will be tasked to develop the existing business portfolio of a well-established structural engineering team and to deliver technically sound and buildable solutions. The candidate will be responsible for the financial control of the projects delivered by the team and will deliver in accordance with profit forecast. The candidate will increase sector market penetration and increase turnover to support team growth.
The scope of projects is varied however there core markets include but is not limited to:
·BEng/MSc (or equivalent) Civil/Structural Engineering
·CEng status with IStructE or ICE
·Min 15 years' experience of working and networking within the South West Region
·Experience of working at a level within the industry which has resulted in a high profile within that sector and a personal network of relevant contacts 
·Prove track record of business development
·Experience of bids and proposals to in work
·Team Leadership and People Management experience
·Ability to train and mentor more junior members of the team
·Able to demonstrate proven track record in managing a high performing team
·Experience of whole project process from fee proposals and concept design to project completion
·Strong technical ability with in-depth experience of designing in all main materials
·Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen
