Quantity Surveyor- Street Lighting
 
I am currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a Street Lighting project in West Yorkshire.
 
·To Support the Project Manager and Technical Lead in reporting on the progress of the project providing financial forecast analysis to meet target deadlines / milestones
·To ensure full and effective financial monitoring (progress and cost) of sub-contracted delivery is carried out and recorded and that sub-contractors are performance managed in accordance with the associated contract outputs
·Identify, log, analyse, forecast manage potential and actual financial risks associated with the delivery of the Contract.
·To manage the claims process, ensuring the quality and accuracy of sub-contractor claims, subsequent payments and progress on the achievement of outputs as defined within the 'Main Works' contract
·To act in the best interest of the Client for all Lighting / Highways projects in consultation with the associated Project Manager to identify any commercial impacts arising from NEC 3 ECC 'Core Clauses', 'Dispute Resolution' and / or Secondary Option Clause's contained within the 'Main Works' Contract
·To assist the 'Project Manager' and 'Technical Lead' in defending any illegitimate claims made by the Contractor i.e. Contractor's scope creep
The Quantity Surveyor- Street Lighting
 
·Minimum of 10 years of commercial experience within the Highways construction industry with at least 2 years within Highways Lighting Experience of project management using the PRINCE2 approach for large target driven Highways infrastructure projects to ensure the successful delivery of project(s) within pre-determined timescale's and budgets. Extensive knowledge and experience of delivering contracts using NEC Engineering and Construction Contract (ECC) administration
·Must be organised, an experienced negotiator and communicator with excellent oral and intelligent writing skills Have a good understanding and use of Group policies and reporting requirements. IT proficient, particularly in MS Office.
·Ideally chartered status (RICS) but as a minimum a degree/HND in Quantity Surveying
·Hold a Full Driving Licence
