Job description
We are currently looking for professionals with expertise in procurement or Quantity Surveying, particularly those with experience in Electrical Transmission, Data Centres, or LDES/BESS. This is an immediate contract opportunity, requiring the successful candidate to work in our client's London office three days a week. Please note that this role is outside IR35.
Key Requirements:
·Minimum of 5 to 8 years' experience in procurement or QS roles, preferably with experience in the relevant sectors.
·Immediate availability to start.
Key Responsibilities:
·Oversee and manage the project programme to ensure it remains on track, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support the process.
·Manage supplier responses, collating questions and responses from the client team to ensure a quick turnaround and resolve any clarifications.
·Assist in the analysis and evaluation of proposals from suppliers.
·Prepare materials for presentations to the Steering Committee.
·Identify potential negotiation strategies with suppliers to secure the best possible outcomes.
·Lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve favourable terms.
·Prepare detailed feedback materials to provide to suppliers following negotiations.
Skills & Experience:
·Proven experience in procurement or QS roles, specifically in Electrical Transmission, Data Centres, or LDES/BESS.
·Strong negotiation and communication skills.
·Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain organisation in a fast-paced environment.
·Experience in presenting and preparing materials for senior committees.
