Are you a quantity surveyor in the rail industry? Do you have experience working on railway ground investigation projects?
 
My client is a market leading civils contractor with a fantastic reputation, they are looking to expand the commercial team in their Ground Investigations division and are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a background of GI and groundworks to work independently alongside the delivery team.
 
This is a fantastic role for a Quantity surveyor with around 3-4 years' experience in the position to join a fast-paced team with fantastic promotion and progression opportunities on a full time permanent basis.
 
Location: York
Salary: £40,000-£45,000DOE
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Length: Permanent
 
Requirements:
 
·2-4 years' experience as a Quantity Surveyor
·Knowledge of network rail standards
·To have experience working for a railway contractor on groundworks and GI projects.
·To be degree qualified (Ideal)
 
Day to Day Duties
 
·To work efficiently and to a continued high standard even when faced with tight deadlines.
·support the commercial team with day to day commercial and contractual issues.
·to support development of other individuals within the commercial team
·management if subcontractor accounts including orders and negotiations.
·ensure statements and paperwork is effectively managed and to a maintained high standard.
·support the procurement process throughout project life cycle.
