Are you a quantity surveyor in the rail industry? Do you have experience working on railway civils projects?
 
My client is a market leading civils contractor with a fantastic reputation, they are looking to expand the commercial team due to continued growth after winning a number of projects and frameworks. They are looking for a quantity surveyor to join the team and work directly on one of many CP6 frameworks.
 
This is a fantastic role for a Quantity surveyor with around 1-2 years' experience in the position to join a fast-paced team with fantastic promotion and progression opportunities on a full time permanent basis.
 
Location: York
Salary: £37,550 - £42,500 DOE
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Length: Permanent
 
Requirements:
 
·12-24 months experience as a Quantity Surveyor
·Knowledge of network rail standards
·To have experience working for a railway contractor on civils projects
·To be degree qualified (Ideal)
 
Day to Day Duties
 
·To work efficiently and to a continued high standard even when faced with tight deadlines.
·support the commercial team with day to day commercial and contractual issues.
·to support development of other individuals within the commercial team
·management if subcontractor accounts including orders and negotiations.
·ensure statements and paperwork is effectively managed and to a maintained high standard.
·support the procurement process throughout project life cycle.
