Quality Engineer needed ASAP!
 
Location: Cornwall (initial assignment), Penrith (follow-up assignment)
Salary: £400 per day (Outside IR35)! Accommodation is also provided and paid for!


Are you a dedicated and experienced Quality Engineer with a passion for ensuring the highest standards in highway infrastructure projects? We are seeking a skilled individual to join a team for an exciting opportunity to contribute to two significant highways schemes in Cornwall and Penrith.


Responsibilities:
As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of these vital infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive quality management system to ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and specifications.
- Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to establish quality objectives, guidelines, and metrics.
- Conducting regular inspections and audits to identify potential issues, non-compliance, or quality deviations.
- Providing guidance and training to project teams on quality assurance practices and procedures.
- Leading root cause analyses and corrective action initiatives to address any quality-related problems.
- Generating comprehensive quality reports and documentation for project records and audits.

Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within the highways or infrastructure sector.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering the highest quality work.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders.
- Problem-solving mindset and the ability to implement practical solutions to quality issues.
- Relevant qualifications in engineering or a related field are desirable.
- A valid Safety Critical Medical.
- A valid CSCS card.
- Preferably a SSSTS / SMSTS.
