Quality Engineer Salary:
£50,000-£55,000 + Package
Role Overview: As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting Discipline Quality Managers by ensuring compliance with QA requirements and contract specifications. Your responsibilities will include conducting inspections, monitoring subcontractor work, addressing non-conformances, and ensuring the quality of materials delivered to site.
Key Responsibilities:
·Conduct on-site inspections to verify the adequacy of checking systems and authorized personnel.
·Support the construction team in controlling subcontractor work quality.
·Address non-conformances by producing Non-Conformance Reports and implementing preventative actions.
·Prevent the production of defective work by providing guidance and oversight.
·Monitor the quality of materials through goods inwards inspections.
·Participate in snagging activities and ensure timely closure of completed works.
·Report site problems directly to the Head of Quality.
·Provide staff training in QC inspection and offer support to the team.
·Contribute to the collation and completion of project record packages.
Requirements:
·Degree in engineering, environment, or relevant science-based subject.
·Experience in construction operations for major projects.
·Understanding of ISO 14001, CCS, and CEEQUAL standards.
·Working towards Chartership of a professional institution (e.g., IEMA).
·IT competent with a logical and numerate approach to tasks.
·Strong planning and task delivery abilities.
