Role: Project Manager
Location: Tonbridge, Kent
Pay: Salary or umbrella day rate available
 
My client are looking for an experienced Project Manager to help with a large project they are working on for their client in Tonbridge, Kent. The project is expected to last for at least 3 years and is working on Environmental schemes in and around the Tonbridge area.
 
Suitable candidates for this role would be ideally from a Tier 1 / principal contractor background with heavy civils experience but also a knowledge and understanding of MEICA components of a project as this project has a lot of MEICA assets and factors to consider and overcome.
 
You will be responsible for the  full project life cycle with full autonomy, leading a team including a Site agent, sub agent, Foreman and a team site engineers amongst other disciplines.  The role will benefit someone who is used to leading the operational aspects of a large project, as well as having the commercial awareness that will be needed to liaise with the end client.
 
Candidates for this position be located within the immediate area of the project, or willing to relocate if needed.
 
 
Role responsibilities:
 
·Lead, organise, direct and manage the project team and supporting staff
·Identify resource requirements and support requirements, liaising with business unit managers
·Ensure the health, safety and environment performance of all operations under your control is managed to the highest standards and that appropriate action is taken whenever operations fail to meet legal or the Company's health and safety standards
·Developing the delivery strategy to meet the project KPI's
·Ensure risks and opportunities are identified, managed, contingency plans put in place and reported
·Ensure that the projects meet the quality KPI's and that corrective management is effectively applied where appropriate
·Stakeholder management and communication including the supply chain
·Monitor projects performance and providing reports that effectively communicate the status of progress, performance against budget, key issues and mitigations, forecasting the future position and quality KPI's
·Ensuring the projects are delivered to the BMS processes and procedures and apply best practice and a continuous improvement approach, to ensure efficiency targets are met.
·Manage, reduce, and drive out unnecessary costs and inefficient activities.
·Work with Client team members to jointly meet the project KPI's and jointly agree project performance reports
