Role: Project Manager
Location: Bromsgrove
Salary: Up to £50,000 p/a plus package


My client, a leading contractor on multiple UK water authorities frameworks across the UK is seeking to bolster their project team in Birmingham for their AMP7 Severn Trent Water Framework.
 
They are seeking an experienced PM who has a background in the UK water sector, to carry out large scale development projects to existing non-infrastructure assets across the region.
 
In this Project Manager position, you will be attached to projects with values up to £10m and accountable for the successful delivery of these schemes. Projects will be run out of the Client office in Birmingham.
 
You will be expected to travel across the Severn Trent framework is and when required, which is geographically the largest Water Authority in England, so Please note long periods of travel may occur.You can claim mileage fro travel out side of the client's birmingham office.
 
Candidates Ideally have experience working on schemes of a similar value, covering multi discipline portfolios across MEICA, Process and civil.
 
Although preferred, you won't need to be qualified in an engineering skill set if you have a strong Track record as a Project Manager in the Water/Wastewater sector.
 
KEY ACCOUNTABILIES

HEALTH AND SAFETY

·Ensure a safe workplace environment mitigating risk to health - safe people, safe place.
·Ensure that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules and regulations are adhered to.
·Complete all mandatory training related to Health & Safety
 
ROLE SPECIFIC
 
·Lead site teams and sub-contractors to maintain the highest possible standard of safety performance at all times and ensure safety is the number one priority of all members of the team.
·Implement management and monitoring procedures to cover all aspects of design, procurement, manufacture and installation of components on and off site.
·Responsible for SHEQ and CDM compliance, working alongside  Health & Safety Team.
·Responsible for Commercial and Programme Management of Schemes.
·Chair and minute internal and external meetings including but not limited to - site progress, safety, team, design and sub-contract meetings, dependant on size of scheme.
·Support commercial team with selection and procurement of sub-contract packages.
·Identify and manage third party involvement.
·Produce all necessary reports for internal and external functions.
·Motivate and support the site team and sub-contractors to deliver all targets and objectives.
·Provides development opportunities through delegation and enthusiastically supports training and development activities.
·Resolve and close out all complex issues quickly and effectively.
·Work with Framework Manager and other team members to develop and secure new work streams.
·Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.
·Comply with Company rules, policies and procedures at all times.
·Carry out any other reasonable tasks which may be required from time to time and to enable the company to remain adaptable to changing markets and needs.
 
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE


·Relevant industry qualification preferred, e.g, ONC, HNC, Degree.
·Technical knowledge of Civil, Electrical & Mechanical Water & Waste Water Operations.
·Possess strong Planning Awareness and Abilities
·Industry experience in a similar role.
·First Aid at work.
·Appropriate IT skills including the use of company software packages.
·Communicates with colleagues and clients in a warm and persuasive way both formally and informally.  Alters style and method to suit audience.
