Job Title: Site Agent - Highways
Location: East Anglia
Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Salary: £55,000-£60,000 plus car allowance + bonus
About the Role:
My client is a reputable and market leading Tier 1 contractor working on high profile projects within the highways sector. Due to a busy pipeline of works, they're seeking an experienced Site Agent within the East Anglia area. You'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations on a range of infrastructure schemes, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
·Manage site activities in line with programme, budget, and quality requirements
·Supervise site engineers, subcontractors, and operatives
·Implement and monitor site-specific Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards
·Ensure compliance with design specifications and statutory requirements
·Maintain accurate site records and produce daily/weekly reports
·Liaise with clients, designers, and other stakeholders
·Lead progress meetings and ensure clear communication across the team
Requirements:
·Previous experience in a Site Agent or Sub Agent role on highways or civil engineering projects
·Working knowledge of NEC contracts and highways maintenance/construction standards
·HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience)
·Strong leadership and organisational skills
·SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications
·Full UK driving licence
