Are you looking for a new challenge in the water sector?

My client is looking for a Project Engineer to work across multiple clean and waste water MEICA projects in and around London on the Thames Water framework.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be involved in the design, planning, reporting, delivery and review of Engineering Solutions. Office attendance is required in Chelmsford, although a hybrid working setup is available for more experienced candidates. Site visits will be across London and the Thames Valley region, with staying away occasionally required for further afield sites.

Your role will involve:
·Business development and client liaising.
·Preparation of Documentation packs including RAMS, Construction Phase Plans, Specifications and Schedules.
·Outline engineering from inception to completion of schemes utilising in-house resources, site installation and construction personnel.
·The timely completion of multiple concurrent projects, safely and within budget
·Liaising with client's engineering and operations staff to ensure KPIs are met or exceeded within budget constraints
·Attending internal and external review and progress meeting.
·Attending site visits/meetings.
·Ascertaining preliminary and detailed design/project requirements and solutions
·Preparing estimates and quotations
·Completing contract documentation
·Managing site safety, health and environmental issues
·Co-ordinating and liaising with suppliers, specialist sub-contractors, in-house functions, site installations and construction teams
·Procurement of plant, materials and specialist subcontractors.
·Compiling and collating final contract documentation, "As built" drawings, test sheets etc. for inclusion into operation and maintenance manuals
·Establishing and agreeing price variations and final accounts.
·45 hour working week.
 
 
Required Skills:
·Project Engineer experience in the water sector is ideal but other sectors will be considered such as automotive, oil or gas.
·Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering degree, but other qualifications will be considered for the role including HND/HNC level and significant relevant experience.
·Experienced in using CAD.
·Good commercial awareness.
·Computer literacy, particularly with MS Office applications is essential.
·Ability to work to target dates across multiple projects, whilst maintaining output and timescale requirements.
·Hold a valid full UK driving license.
·Eligible to work in the UK.
