Job description

Are you a Project Engineer working in the railway sector?
 
Do you have experience working on Multi-disciplinary rail projects?
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest players in the railway industry on a contract basis working on a variety of schemes taking the project from design through to build stages.
 
Location: Manchester
Contract Length: 6 months
Pay Rate: £420 Per Day Umbrella
 
Requirements:
·PTS
·CITB CSCS scheme.
·5+ Years' experience in a railway construction environment
·Experience working on design and delivery of projects
·Working knowledge of quality assurance
·CDM, risk assessment, auditing internal and external competency.
·Successful relevant experience in engineering disciplines, ideally with involvement in construction and design projects across multi discipline areas.
·Educated to HNC level or equivalent in relevant engineering subject.
 
Key Accountabilities:
·Identify and share best practice across the various project teams.
·Carry out the duties of designated project engineer (DPE) for specific projects.
·Undertake reviews of design and/or construction activities. Arrange audits of contractors monitoring safety, environment and quality of design and construction.
·Monitor and ensure design and construction specialists are competent throughout project life cycle
·Provide project management advice in all areas of the project including design and build.
·Manage all engineering activities so that result fall in line with the programme requirements
·Implement network rail procedures to maintain a high quality and safe working environment whilst also keeping costs at a sustainable level.
