Principal Transport Planner

London

Full time - 36 hours per week

3-month contract (minimum)

£45-£50 per hour, Inside IR35, negotiable dependant on experience
 

Are you an experienced Transport Planner looking for your next challenge?
 
Our client is an ambitious authority who are seeking an experienced Transport Planner with experience in reviewing and commenting on planning applications for small, to major, developments.

Key Responsibilities:
 
·To lead on the development and delivery of transport strategy, policies, transport planning and travel demand management
·To independently manage the effective development of a range of traffic, transportation, parking and sustainability related policies and to ensure the delivery of services so that objectives and responsibilities are met.
·To develop creative and innovative solutions to complex transport and traffic matters and balance conflicting user and stakeholder demands
·To act as lead public transport liaison officer and liaise with public transport operators (London Buses, London Underground, Network Rail and Train Operating Companies) to secure improvements in services and advocate the borough's interests and develop proposals for new and innovative services.
 
 
What is required?
 
·As the successful candidate, you will have transport planning experience at a Senior level
 
·You will have great stakeholder management skills.
