Are you a Team Leader in Transport Planning looking for a new challenge?
 
Our client is an ambitious authority who are seeking a Team Leader in Transport Planning to join them on a contract basis, initially for 6 months.
 
Your key responsibilities:
 
·Undertaking detailed technical assessments of the highway, traffic and parking implications of a wide range of development proposals in line with current best practice to ensure that transport issues are fully considered as part of the Development Control process.
·Identifying engineering and other measures to mitigate the impact of development and negotiating directly with developers and their technical advisers to ensure that the cost of these measures are fully funded.
·Preparing written statements covering highway, traffic, transportation and parking issues to substantiate planning decisions
·Contributing to legal agreements and Orders relating to development, including complex s106 agreements, s38 agreements, s278 agreements and stopping up orders.
 
What is required?

·As the successful candidate, you will have experience of working in a local authority at a similar level and Transport Planning/Strategy background, preferably, within a local authority setting.
