Job description

Principal Public Rights of Way Officer
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Principal Public Rights of Way Officer who will act as the professional lead for all Public Rights of Way related matters across the authority.
 
The main duties of the Principal Public Rights of Way Officer are:
·Provide strategic and operational leadership to the Public Rights of Way team.
·Act as the council's subject matter expert and principal advisor on all PROW matters.
·Develop and implement policies, strategies, and service delivery models to improve the PROW network.
·Lead on complex legal cases, public path orders, enforcement matters, and appeals.
 
The Principal Public Rights of Way Officer will have key experience in:
·Significant experience working within Public Rights of Way services, preferably in a senior or principal role within a local authority or highways environment.
·Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience of delivering high-quality services through others.
 
This role requires the successful candidate in the offices a minimum of 1 day per week.
