Role: Principal Process Engineer
Location: Remote (ad-hoc office visitation)
Salary: up to £65,000 Depending on experience

My client, a leading Design, Commercial & Project Management consultancy covering the full range of  services within the water industry are currently looking for a Principal Process Engineer who will support the team to deliver multi-disciplinary schemes, predominately for Wastewater projects.
 
The business I'm working with have chemical Wastewater projects attached to 3 frameworks nationwide , and they have got to a stage where front end design of relocating and expanding existing water treatment works need additional design support from a chemical engineering perspective.
 
We are looking for someone with 10+ years experience, ideally for a water utility company or contractor/consultancy working on behalf of as water utility company. Chartership is required for this position.
 
the business operate a remote set up with only ad-hoc visits required to their South West office (Expenses paid for travel and lodging)
 
Responsibilities:
·To support the Project Delivery team to achieve excellent project outcomes
·To contribute to the achievement of the company's vision, values, targets and objectives
·To operate manage and control the companies Integrated Management System in relation to your and the company's activities and accordance with instruction
·To ensure legal compliance
·To actively participate and positively promote good Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality performance
·Compile documentation for the Project Delivery Team for their Senior Management / Director reviews as necessary
·Visiting site with the Project Team to obtain necessary engineering
·Review existing and proposed process solutions and research the effects of implementation.
·Undertake Process Safety and Impact Assessments
·Liaise with client process teams to establish and develop solutions
·Contact supply chain and liaise for solutions
·Compile Project Documentation as required
·Compile and collate final contract documentation, "As built" data, test sheets etc. for inclusion into Operation and Maintenance Manuals
·Prepare and implement Commissioning Plans
·Any other duties as deemed necessary by the Process Manager
·Able to systematically review a process plan against design, control philosophy and then optimise the plant
·Carry out sampling and lab analysis and use those results to make process changes
 
The ideal candidate will have:
·Professional chartership.
·A thorough knowledge of water and sewage treatment and sector experience.
·Relevant Engineering degree or HND.
·Ability to think clearly under pressure.
·Good negotiation skills.
·Good interpersonal skills.
·Ability to rationalise designs and produce economic civil designs.
·Good general knowledge of all aspects of water treatment, e.g. mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering and project management.
·A technical and flexible mind, with the ability to assimilate large amounts of different data at one time.
·Ability to present technical proposals clearly, confidently and convincingly.
·Computer literacy.
