My client is looking to source a Principal Planning DM Officer on an initial 6-month contract.
 
You will be required to be in the office one day per week, for the team meeting, but the rest could be done from home if you would like to.
 
ROLE PURPOSE
·Support the effective renewal and regeneration of the Borough
·The negotiation, assessment and determination of major and complex planning applications delivering significant levels of investment within the Borough
·Supervision of Case Officers on specific, complex proposals
·The processing and representation of the Council's case in respect of planning appeals
·Providing specialist, professional planning advice in response to enquiries
·The monitoring and improvement of performance in the handling of planning and related applications handled by the planning team.
·Deputise for the Area Team Leader
·Determination of appropriate planning applications under the Council's Scheme of Delegation
·Assistance in developing Planning Performance Agreements and providing pre-application advice on complex cases
·Line management of Technical Support Officers within the team.
 
Carrington West Pay Rate - £45-50 per hour
