My client in the Home Counties is seeking an experienced planning officer to join them at Principal Level in their DM Team, for an initial 5-8 month contract.
 
The council office is located fairly close to London with good transport links.
 
They are ideally seeking a contractor on a full time basis for 37 hours per week, however they will consider part time hours. 
 
Site visits will be required so full driving licence and your own vehicle with business car insurance is desirable. This contract can be worked on a hybrid basis with some office work needed along with the site visits being completed, but this can be discussed on an individual basis.
 
·Looking for an experienced Planning Officer who has previously dealt with cpmplex large scale major applications, ideally with Greenbelt experience (not essential)
·Ability to work independently and manage own caseload. Mentor less experienced members of the team.  
 
To be successful in this position you MUST BE:
·A Qualified Town Planner with significant experience within a Local Authority Planning Department
 
My client has provided me with the JD which can be sent out upon request.
