Carrington West are assisting their local authority client based in the North of England in the search for an Interim Planning Officer to join their Policy team, The contract will be offered on a initial 6 month contract, then rolling. Remote based available.
 
We are looking for an experienced officer to come in and hit the ground running in the preparation of the councils new local plan. The candidate will need to have had experience of planning policy; have good interpersonal skills; enjoy engaging with members of the public; and be able to work flexibly.
 
The council are in the process of evidence gathering to address the representations received at regulation 19 stage of the local plan.
 
The council operate under a hybrid working arrangement with a mix between home and office working. The role can be offered largely remote with only consultation events necessary to carry out in person.
 
It would be beneficial to hold a Post-graduate degree in planning, regeneration or a related discipline, and have the eligibility for membership of RTPI.
