Job description
Carrington West are assisting their local authority client in the Midlands with their search for a Planning Enforcement Officer.
The council are looking for someone on an initial 3-month contract, with the potential for extension.
Main responsibilities of the role will include:
· Managing a caseload of approximately 70-80 enforcement cases.
· Investigating alleged breaches of planning control.
· Undertaking site visits and gathering evidence.
· Preparing and progressing enforcement notices where necessary.
· Conducting interviews under caution where required.
· Maintaining accurate case records and providing professional advice on enforcement matters.
The ideal candidate will have:
· Significant experience in planning enforcement within a local authority setting.
· Ability to independently manage a high-volume caseload.
· Experience undertaking interviews under caution.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
·
This is a full-time position (37 hours per week). Attendance in the office and site visits will be required for a minimum of one day per week.
Carrington West Pay Rate - £35 - 40 per hour (Depending on experience)
