Job description

Job Role - Nuclear Construction Section Engineer
 
Location - Cumbria
 
Contract Length - 12 Months
 
Pay Rate - £35 Hour Umbrella/£26 Hour PAYE
 
I am looking to speak with people that have electrical engineering knowledge and experience who have the ability to report directly to the project delivery director during the detailed design and construction phases of works.
 
You will also be required for engineering oversight of the main contractors/subcontractors work packages including the review of documentation, design information, inspection and verification of the engineering work packages.
 
Key Responsibilities
·The ability to review and endorse project documents such as safety information, quality documents and project management documents.
·To participate and assist in constructability reviews
·Maintain an "intelligent Customer" capability for all work carried out by contractors that may impact nuclear safety and nuclear security.
·Ensure all contract staff are familiar with the nuclear safety and nuclear security implications of their work and interact in a well-coordinated manner with their own staff
Essential Experiences
·Nuclear experience in a Heavy Construction Environment
·Experience on E&I Installations
·Experience conducting safety observations and conversations to help achieve a zero-incident culture
Desirables
·Authorised Electrical Person
·Knowledge and understanding of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations)
· Very good knowledge of construction plant and accessories
·Very good knowledge and practical use of basic software within the windows office environment
·Ability to read and implement complex schedules and deliverables
·Knowledge of HSE policies and procedures
·Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence others in a non-confrontational manner
·Excellent verbal and written communication skills
