Job Opportunity: Mechanical Supervisor (working)
Location: Leicester
Salary: Up to £46,000 per annum plus benefits

Join a dynamic and expanding team that provides a comprehensive end-to-end service in the water and wastewater treatment sector. Our client specializes in the assessment, design, manufacture, installation, commissioning, and aftercare of treatment assets. As they grow, they are seeking a skilled Mechanical Supervisor to oversee projects across Severn Trent and Anglian Water regions.
Role Overview:
As a Mechanical Supervisor, you will play a critical role in the planning, supervision, and execution of on-site mechanical installations for water and wastewater treatment plants. This includes overseeing the installation of scraper bridges, fabricated products, and ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
·Lead and assist in the on-site mechanical installation, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.
·Manage and supervise fitters and operatives in tasks such as steelwork and pipework assembly.
·Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of systems to meet British, ISO, and client standards.
·Liaise closely with project managers and engineers to ensure project success.
·Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and maintain accurate training records.
·Identify and address defects, ensuring timely reporting of any incidents.
·Collaborate with safety officers and auditors during site inspections.
·Maintain project documentation, including daily reports and non-conformance records.
·Drive continuous improvement and implement industry best practices.
Qualifications & Experience:
·At least two years of experience in a similar role within utilities or M&E engineering.
·Proficiency in supervising steelwork assembly, welding, and site mechanical works.
·Relevant training or qualifications in coded welding, steel fixing, or similar fields.
·Strong focus on quality control and continuous improvement.
·Electrical awareness and training would be advantageous.
·Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
·Previous experience in the UK water industry is preferred.
·Willingness to travel regionally and nationwide, including overnight stays.
·A full driving licence is required.
