Role: Mechanical Project Manager
Location: Glasgow
Salary: £55,000-£60,000 per annum + car allowance and benefits package
Are you an experienced mechanical professional with a strong background in the UK water sector? My client, a delivery partner for Scottish Water, is seeking a Mechanical Project Manager to join their dynamic and expanding wastewater team.
Mechanical Project Manager
As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will be responsible for defining and generating programme-wide mechanical delivery requirements, including delivery strategy, HSEQ, resource management, technical governance, asset supportability, and handover.
Key Responsibilities:
·Mechanical Delivery Strategy: Develop and implement partner arrangements and procurement strategies.
·Health & Safety: Ensure the implementation of key safety procedures within mechanical delivery.
·Quality Processes: Develop quality processes across procurement, installation, and commissioning.
·Team Management: Appoint and manage the mechanical delivery team resources.
·Technical Governance: Ensure technical governance throughout installation, commissioning, and handover.
·Collaboration: Work closely with other business functions, including design, estimating, civils, and commercial.
Additional Responsibilities:
·Basis of Design and Delivery: Define mechanical delivery requirements and support design development after option selection.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
·HND/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
·Previous experience in project or programme management, or demonstrated skills in leading project lifecycle aspects with a desire to move into project management
·Experience with NEC Contracts
·Valid driving license
·Experience in the water industry
Desirable Qualifications:
·CITB SMSTS Site Manager Accreditation
·IOSH Managing Safely
·Confined Space Training/DOMS/Water Hygiene
