My client has a vacancy for a Mechanical Design Engineer based in their office near Crawley.
 
The successful candidate will join the M&E team working for the Principal Engineer within a developed team involved in a wide-ranging role which could include (project dependent) design, bid preparation, specification and tender preparation, site asset surveys, site supervision during construction.
 
There will also be opportunities to carry our assistant project management roles where available.
 
The successful candidate will also provide assistance to the principal engineer on governance and assistance to the more junior engineers.
 
They are ideally looking for an individual who is keen to progress and be working towards their Chartership with the Institute of Mechanical Engineers.
 
Experience required
·Mechanical Building Services design - HVAC, Water supply, Boiler/Plant rooms
·Bid preparation
·Report production
·Specification and tender preparation
·Site asset surveys
·Liaison with operations and maintenance staff on site
·Production of clear and concise written documentation for operational staff who undertake ongoing operation and maintenance of plant
·Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with management and staff at all levels
·Recognised degree or equivalent
·3-5 years of post graduate building services design experience
