Job description
Are you an experienced Electrical Building Services professional ready to take on a key CRE role?
Do you have a strong Lighting and LV Power background and want to be part of a growing, internationally recognised engineering consultancy delivering major rail projects?
Salary: £80,000 to £95,000
Location: Old Oak Commons, 3 days per week
I am working with a leading global engineering and transport consultancy that plays a critical role across the UK rail sector. With a strong presence on flagship infrastructure programmes, they are continuing to grow their multidisciplinary teams supporting complex station and rail environments.
They are now seeking an Electrical Building Services CRE to join their team supporting works at Old Oak Common. This is a permanent opportunity offering long-term stability on a technically challenging and high-profile project.
You will act as Contractor’s Responsible Engineer (CRE) for Electrical Building Services, taking ownership of design assurance and technical compliance across Lighting and LV Power systems within a major rail infrastructure environment.
You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring designs meet safety, regulatory and project standards while maintaining programme and quality expectations.
Essential requirements
• Strong background in Electrical Building Services within rail or major infrastructure
• Proven experience in Lighting and LV Power systems
• Experience operating as a CRE, or Chartered Engineer status with the ability to undertake CRE responsibilities
• In-depth knowledge of rail standards and assurance processes
• Ability to work on site at Old Oak Common three days per week
Desirable
• Experience on large-scale station or HS2-related works
• Prior involvement in complex multidisciplinary rail environments
This role offers a genuine long-term permanent opportunity within a growing and well-established consultancy environment.
If you are looking for a senior-level role with responsibility, visibility and long-term progression on a landmark scheme, I would be keen to speak with you.
