Lead Electrical Commissioning Engineer / Commissioning Manager

Location: Plymouth
Pay: Up to £475 per day PAYE
Contract Length: 6-12 months+
 
The role is for a complex and private client near to Plymouth naval base, working on the construction of a fuel depot jetty and the associated electrical interface that supports the project.
 
Ideal candidates will be an electrical commissioning bias, with ideally experience in the Oil & Gas or water sector and have experience with LV, control and instrument control. The ability to jump into a project and liaise with a small M&E commissioning team is the main attribute a candidate can bring into this role but with the ability to look over the engineering teams and the installation and maintenance aspects of the jobs to a certain degree, an ECS accreditation or recent certification will be desirable.
 
Roles and Responsibilities.
 
·Liaise with a small M&E commissioning team
·Assisting the teams with the completion of static commissioning check sheets, including vendor and sub-contractors' liaison
·Responsible for carrying out preservation on all electrical equipment.
 
Experience.
 
·Experience of pre-commissioning & dynamic commissioning preferably in oil & gas / water process or similar industrial environment.
·Ability to read and interpret P&ID's and piping isometrics.
·Knowledge of installation standards on Hydrocarbon systems.
