Role: Land/Utility Surveyor
Location: Glasgow/hybrid
Salary: Up to £35,000 p/a + overtime + company vehicle + fuel card
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
 
Are you an experienced Topographical, Utility or Measured Building Surveyor looking for your next challenge? My client is looking for multiple surveyors to join their growing team.
 
My client has multiple offices and projects across the UK so candidates from most locations will be considered. The regional offices are Milton Keynes, Stafford and Glasgow. Hybrid working is available for CAD processing. Experience in Land, Utility or Measured Building Surveys is essential.
 
 
Your role will involve:
·Working with modern survey methods and survey devices such as Total Stations, GPS, GNSS and data collectors.
·Setting out for different trades in construction.
·Establishing survey controls, setting out gridlines, levelling, traversing and other land surveying work.
·Accurately and consistently recording underground utility assets and manhole inspection reports.
·Data processing using AutoCAD.
·Providing the Project Managers and CAD Operators with completed survey reports.
·Building and maintaining client relationships ensuring we deliver to our client's expectations.
·Assisting with detailed field and office surveying assignments.
·Checking the quality of information collected on site, and the successful transition to deliverables.
·Ensure that all survey kit is maintained and well kept.
·Taking responsibility for other surveyors and junior team members whilst onsite and in the office.

·Delivering to company policies, procedures, standards and best practices.
·Working with the Project Manager to assist with quoting for jobs.
 
Skills/Experience:
Essential:
·This can be a fast-paced environment that changes quickly, so candidates need to be able to adapt to change and prioritising workloads.
·Ability to multi-task.
·Experienced in use of Electromagnetic location and ground penetrating radar, along with the use of Total Stations and GNSS acquisition.
·A good understanding of common industry practices and standards in regards to utility detection, such as PAS 128 and TSA.
·Good working knowledge of surveying equipment, such as GPR and CAT.
·Ability to work collaboratively in a team and deal with clients on site.
·Clean & Full Driving License.
·Right to Work in UK.
·CSCS Card holder (This will be required before starting work).
·GIS and/or BIM Software Experience (ArcGIS Pro, Revit, Civil 3D etc).
 
 
Desirable:
·GPR Post Processing Experience.
·AutoCAD experience.
·Topographical/Measured Building/Utility Surveying experience.
