Job description

My client is seeking an Engineer / Senior Engineer to join their Civil infrastructure team in Oxford or Reading. This is a great opportunity to join a busy and ambitious group with a strong forward workload. The company has been at the heart of the Thames Valley community for many years and are now looking at further expansion.

Forward workload is strong and diverse and with the Oxford to Cambridge Corridor among the many exciting upcoming projects, there's never been a better time to consider joining.

The Oxford and Reading offices are centrally located and close the stations. They have a Civil Infrastructure team of 50+ Engineers that collaborate with a wide variety of other disciplines to deliver effective solutions to clients. They  can offer a great environment to work in along with the flexibility of working from home which will help maintain a good work life balance.

Projects include a wide range of public and private sector schemes that include some significant development, infrastructure and regeneration projects from small scale local schemes to larger national frameworks.

You will play an important role within the team. You will support the production of drainage/highway designs and provision for all types and scales of development projects and assist in securing S278/S38 and S104 technical approvals. You will work with Engineer and Technician colleagues in the effective delivery of outputs to agreed deadlines.

You will liaise with the internal and external clients and design teams on projects and be involved in the delivery and management of successful and timely outcomes. Your role will be varied and challenging, and you will have the opportunity to learn from the wider group and take your career to the next level.

ABOUT YOU
You'll be a BSc qualified and/or working towards Chartership. You will have expertise in drainage, highways and civil infrastructure design to deliver multi-disciplinary projects for the entire lifecycle - from concept, feasibility and planning through to detailed design and delivery. Skills with Microdrainage and Civils 3D are preferable.

Ideally you will have previous consultancy experience and a demonstrated history of working on commercially successful projects. You will have experience of mentoring and managing the workload of junior team members.

You will be ambitious, forward thinking and innovative. Your passion and experience of delivering quality infrastructure design solutions is most crucial to your success in this role.
