Job description

Highways Technician - Construction

You will be responsible for supporting the construction team in the delivery of projects including drawings, reports, calculations and any other activities assigned from time to time.
 
General Responsibilities:

·To assist with the construction of a range of schemes
·To assist with the preparation of drawings, reports and calculations for projects
·Supporting the administration & delivery of projects
·Ensuring Construction outputs meet the required standards
·To ensure speedy and courteous responses to queries
·Meeting agreed deadlines
·Working as an integral member of a construction team
·Contributing to providing solutions to challenging problems
·Required to be mobile and able to attend all site and depot locations within Buckinghamshire for inspections and progress monitoring
·To create good working relationships with supply chain partners and internal teams to help achieve timely and safe delivery of schemes
·You may be expected to attend progress meetings, public exhibitions and public inquiries
·Understands the overall functions, aims and directions of Transport for Buckinghamshire, and how their specific area of responsibility fits into those objectives.
·Proactively undertake and record Continuing Professional Development
·Support Equality & Diversity activities
·Support Health, Safety, Environment and Quality across Transport for Buckinghamshire
·To carry out any other reasonable duties that may be directed or implied from time to time commensurate to the post and/or organisational requirements.
 
Desirable Requirements:

·BTECH Level 3/Level 3 Apprenticeship Diploma in Construction or similar
·Comfortable using AutoCAD to produce drawings
·Experience working on roads/drainage projects
