Salary: £40-42k per annum
 
Location: Within 1-1.5 hours car commute from Canning Town, East London
 
Job Title: Highways Site Supervisor - Night Shift Hours
 
My client are a lead company working on the management and maintenance of a significant contract dealing with one of the busiest roads within London.
 
They are looking for an experienced Highways Site Supervisor to assist with the work on the project and manage a team of highways professionals on site. The right candidate will be based within 1-1.5 hours car commute from the Canning Town depot and be experienced in a supervisor level role within the highways sector.
 
Day to day responsibilities:
·Planning and programming works
·Manage and develop an effective team of traffic management professionals on-site
·Ensure health and safety policies are adhered to and promoted
·Monitor project progress and establish reports to present to senior management
·Adapt to work of differing nature in alignment with job requirements
 
Key Requirements:
·Experience within a supervisor role within the highways sector, minimum of 1-2 years
·Experience working on a term maintenance contract
·Ability to communicate with senior management and lead an effective work force
·Good understanding of road maintenance work, including resurfacing, street lighting and VRS
·Willingness to work night shifts 9pm-5am Monday-Friday
·Proactive individual with a good work ethic and a hunger to learn and progress within the role
·Confident in own decision making ability and willing to take initiative
·SMSTS and CSCS cards
·First Aid qualified
·NEBOSH desired

·£40-42k per annum dependent on experience
