Job Title: Highways Operations Manager - South Region
 
Salary: £65,000 to £70,000 per annum plus £7000 car allowance
 
Bonus Scheme: Directors discretion, £10,000 based on annual targets being met  
 
Divisions: The Operations Manager South will be supporting and promoting the Highways Water Management and Drainage services, and then the wider business
 
Holidays: 25 days + all bank holidays 
 
Location: Anywhere in the Southern counties, Hampshire, Kent, Wiltshire, Sussex, Dorset, Surrey, and Somerset.
 
My client, a prominent player in the Highways construction industry, is in search of a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead the delivery of the Business Plan and Strategy. This role involves identifying and securing forward works programs, expanding business scale with new clients, and improving overall profitability.
 
Qualifications/Experience:
 
- Highways experience and preferably worked for National Highways or contracted to them.
- Experience with working on the CWF, SDF, M&R contracts
- Previous experience in a similar role within the highway industry
- Previous contracts management experience in the construction industry.
- Understanding of highway drainage and current specifications (CS 551, CD 535, ADMM, MCHW, DMRB).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word.
- Good understanding of relevant health & safety legislation.
- Familiarity with business strategy.
- UK Driving License required.
