Our clients major maintenance team requires a Highways Maintenance Engineer to oversee and provide support to our clients engineers in the delivery of civils and surfacing repairs. This position will be based in Wiltshire 3-4 days peer week and falls inside IR35.
 
The role is to assist in the delivery of future surfacing and treatment programmes. The role will entail production of contract documentation in accordance with current industry standards, support team members in the delivery of the investigation & repairs programme, liaison with client, public and councillors, attend meetings etc. Site investigations and measures to assess the requirements of sites for future maintenance.

Qualifications
 
·HNC or degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline or demonstrable experience in highway maintenance
 
Essential Criteria
 
·Have a working knowledge and experience in highway resurfacing techniques and  general civil engineering
·Strong technical skills, relating to highway & drainage maintenance schemes
·Sound working knowledge in creating quality scheme documentation and critically reviewing colleagues' work
·Applied knowledge of quality, safety and environmental processes
·IT skills (e.g. MS Office suite)
·Strong organisational, inter personnel and communication skills
·Clean full driving licence
 
Desirable Criteria
 
·Experience of Client liaison
·Experience of collaborative working with Contractors
·A working knowledge of New Roads & Streetworks Act 1991 and Traffic Management Act 2004
·Proactive, inclusive and collaborative attitude
·Appropriate CSCS Card
