Highways Contract and Delivery Team Leader
 
Carrington West are currently supporting a South London Borough with their search for a Highways Contract and Delivery Team Leader for an ongoing contract.
 
As the Team leader of the Highway Contracts & Delivery Team, the main aim of the role is to deliver the planned maintenance of the Councils highway assets and contract manage and administer the relevant delivery contracts available to the Service.
 
The delivery of the Council's highways asset management strategy is also managed by this team. This team also manages the maintenance of street lighting, highway structures and water courses (flood and water management), as well as dealing with crossover applications and public rights of way matters.
 
Management responsibility for:
● Up to £5m budget responsibility
● Responsible for up to 30 FTE staff
● Customers and their representative groups
● All relevant partner organisations for whom and with whom the Council does business including other Local Authorities, Transport for London (TfL), Department for Transport (DfT) and other Governmental & regulatory bodies
● Flood Risk Authorities including the Environment Agency
● Developers/Consultants/Contractors and their professional representatives
● Statutory and other national and regional bodies
● Professional associations and networking groups
● All Contract Managers delivering the Council's highways and transport service
