Highway Design Team Leader
 
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Highway Design Team Leader to come and join our busy client in the South West on a temporary contract basis. The role will be predominantly remote working but will include weekly office visits.
 
In this role you will:
·Lead the highway design team, including the guidance of engineers.
·Assisting with hands on design work.
·Preparing drawings for highways schemes for construction.
·Designing roads, bridges, junctions and cycling schemes to the manual for streets specification.
·May also include work on highway maintenance improvement schemes.
·Reporting to the head of design, assisting to run the function and ensure that both targets are met and workloads are maintained.
 
What you need to be successful:
·Previous experience within a highway design team at a senior level.
·Experience leading and managing a team of engineers.
·Previous local authority experience.
