Job Title: Health and Safety Advisor
 
Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum
 
Location: North-West with travel to sites across the UK
 
My client are a market-leading civil engineering contractor with a strong pipeline of projects and a growing team across the UK. Due to contract wins and company growth, they're actively seeking a Health and Safety Advisor from a Highways/Utilities background to join the team based in the North-West and with travel to sites across the UK.
 
Key Responsibilities:
·Manage the Company's HSQE management/compliance issues.
·Assist in managing the accident and incident investigation process.
·Report to the Senior HSQE Manager on HSQE performance and discuss with other managers to promote standardised practices across the organisation.
·Prepare, deliver and process tender submissions when required.
·Manage the training requirements and monitor refresher training.
·Monitor adherence to HSQE principals, identifying potential breaches in standards and address accordingly.
·Assist in the Company audit plans.
·Work with the Supply Chain Department to evaluate sub-contractors.
 
Key Requirements:
·NEBOSH Construction certificate
·SMSTS / CSCS / NRSWA
·Member of IOSH
·Detailed knowledge of HSQE law and the civil engineering industry
·Experience in civils, utilities, wastewater, highways, public realm and/or local authority projects
·Minimum of 5 years' experience in HSQE role
·Experience of HSQE site inspections/audits
·Demonstrable experience within an operational environment
·Full clean driving licence
