Graduate Transport Planner
 
Our client is looking for a Graduate Transport Planner to join their team in Cardiff.
 
Our client undertakes a full range of challenging and varied work in the planning, design, and implementation of public transport schemes across the UK.
 
Responsibilities of the role:
 
·Investigating transport problems, formulate policies, schemes, and strategies, and evaluate solutions.
·Assisting with public transport demand forecasting and scheme appraisal in accordance with transport appraisal guidance.
·Preparing technical reports including business cases, transport strategies, scheme development and consultation reports.
·Supporting with consultations, including assisting with stakeholder presentations and public consultations and writing consultation reports.
 
Requirements of the role:
·Degree in a relevant discipline with a grade of 2:1 or higher. Bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant subject.
·Desire to work towards chartership.
·The ability to work to deadlines and targets to meet the requirements of project programmes and client demands.
·Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, both at a general and technical level.
·Interpersonal qualities and communication skills suitable for working with many partners in a complex technical, organisational, and political environment.
·Interest in working in the rail and public transport sector.
·Report writing skills.
