Responsibilities

  • Take the lead on designing and delivering structural solutions for a wide range of projects, including residential, commercial, education, and infrastructure.
  • Prepare detailed calculations, drawings, and reports, ensuring high standards of quality and compliance.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to develop cost-effective, practical, and buildable designs.
  • Contribute to all project phases, from design and planning to construction and completion.
  • Undertake site visits and inspections to ensure the integrity of design during implementation.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and development.

Key Skills and Experience

  • A degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Experience in structural design, with a strong understanding of engineering principles and building codes.
  • Knowledge of structural design software (e.g., Revit, Tekla, AutoCAD, Robot, or similar).
  • Ideally, you will be a Chartered Engineer (IStructE/ICE) or working towards chartership.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused attitude, with a strong commitment to delivering quality.
