Job description

My client is an established engineering and surveying consultancy. They have a broad client base ranging from small residential projects to vast commercial developments.  They are passionate about their work and their team and provide consistent recognition and support to all  employees.
 
They have a vacancy for an Environmental / Geotechnical Engineer to join their expanding busy team of experienced multidisciplinary engineers.
 
Position
 
To assess, plan and undertake walkover surveys, desktop studies and site investigations on a wide variety of projects within the commercial, industrial and residential sectors and to write accurate technical reports
 
Key Skills
 
You will:
 
Have a degree (or equivalent) in Engineering Geotechnics or Civil Engineering with geotechnical specialism and have a minimum of 1 year's experience in the industry
Be working towards or interested in working towards Chartership
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Be capable of presenting ideas and working collaboratively within the team and with clients
Be proficient in Microsoft Office
Be able to write full detailed factual and interpretive reports following review of laboratory results
Handle both engineering and contamination assessments which will form a major part of your workload
Have a full driving licence and own transport
Be enthusiastic with a willingness to learn
