Job description

I have an immediate requirement for a Working Foreman/Supervisor to work on Highways schemes in Area 4.
The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site construction and ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of the project milestones.
A van and laptop will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:
·Lead and manage on-site construction activities, including coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to ensure the successful execution of project plans and schedules.
·Collaborate with project management and engineering teams to develop construction methodologies, plans, and schedules tailored to the specific requirements of the junction improvement scheme.
·Monitor progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures as necessary to ensure project delivery according to schedule and budget.
·Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks to ensure workmanship meets established standards and specifications.
·Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, progress updates, and resource allocations.
·Foster a culture of safety and compliance by enforcing site rules, conducting toolbox talks, and promoting best practices in health and safety within the highways sector.

Requirements:
·Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, with a strong background in highways or infrastructure projects.
·Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively motivate and coordinate site personnel.
·Strong technical knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and specifications related to highways works, particularly junction improvement schemes.
·Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
·Valid CSCS card and relevant industry qualifications (e.g., SSSTS, SMSTS).
·Understanding of health and safety regulations and a commitment to promoting a safe working environment within the highways sector.
·Flexibility to work extended hours and weekends as required to meet project deadlines.
