Job description

Are you a Systems Engineer with DOORs experience and an in-depth knowledge of 2 or more Rail Sub-Systems?

Are you looking to work on a career defining project that will be going on for the next 10 years?

This role is an exciting opportunity to get involved in a massive, high speed Rail project in my client's Infrastructure Directorate working on the functional integration process.
Should you be successful, you will be working on system capability where you will have a role working on the development of the identified functions, working across and integrating a number of rail sub-systems including rolling stock, SCADA, OLE, telecoms, signalling, etc. and passing back information to stakeholders, offering development solutions, and designing when required. You will link to requirements using DOORS software and developing diagrams in Enterprise Architect.

Salary: £52,500 to £65,580 (includes flex fund), up to 12% pension.
Where: Home/London. The role will be based in London, 5 days in the office every 10 working days (50/50 hybrid working.

Requirements:

  • For requirements management, able to apply principles and methods that ensure effective information  management, modelling and data security, basic understanding of data creation and visualisation, working under supervision of line manager or in liaison with relevant the experts.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Able to provide specialist technical support and leadership on discipline-specific scientific, technical and engineering principles to project development / delivery teams.
  • Can articulate many principles relating to standards, safety and the environment without prompting.
  • Knowledge of at least 2 of the following rail sub-systems: rolling stock, SCADA, OLE, telecoms, signalling, etc.
  • Proficient in DOORS software.
  • Enterprise Architect experience beneficial but not essential.
