Engineering Support Assistant
Sellafield - 12 Month Contract
£25-30 Per Hour (Umbrella)
We are actively seeking an Engineering Support Assistant with a household name in the UK Engineering industry. As a key player in our maintenance team, you will be responsible for a range of critical tasks to ensure the seamless execution of maintenance operations. Here's a closer look at what the role entails:

Key Responsibilities:
·Generate Preservation and Maintenance Work Lists (known as "PWLs") using the in house database.
·Monitor the availability of Vendors' Spares Requirement Schedules listed on the Project's Vendor Documents Summary Register.
·Identify pending Spares Documents (including Bill of Materials, O&M Manuals, and Equipment Lists) and collaborate with Package Managers and Quantity Surveyors for timely updates.
·Submit Spares information into SAP for efficient ordering and re-ordering processes.
·Receive and register new Measuring & Test Equipment (MTE) on the 'Commissioning MTE Register.'
·Coordinate routine calibration of equipment, including logistics for delivery and collection.
·Assist in liaising with the Commissioning Team to review quotations and determine additional scope of work.
·Collaborate with the JV Commissioning Team and Vendors to schedule and organize maintenance visits during commissioning.
Essential Experience & Qualifications:
·Minimum NVQ Level 2 (ideally Level 3) in an Engineering or Scientific subject, coupled with relevant Site experience.
·Basic understanding of Mechanical and CE&I Engineering Drawings.
·Proven experience in Commissioning / Construction Support.
·Proficiency in MS Office software, particularly Excel and Word.
Desirable Skills:
·Previous experience or knowledge of project site procurement processes, including ordering / re-ordering of Commissioning Consumables and monitoring stock levels on the Tracker.
·Familiarity with Asset / MTE Management Software (e.g., Hilti ON! Track).
·Experience with Project Integrated Management Systems, preferably SharePoint.
·Knowledge of Risk Assessment processes and principles.
·Possession of a CCNSG - Safety Passport.
