Job Opportunity: Maintenance & Project Officer - Housing & Barbican Estates

We are looking for a qualified Electrician for this Maintenance role!
Key Responsibilities:
1.Operational Excellence:
 
oCollaborate closely with the Customer & Support Services team, taking ownership of operational repairs and property-related issues.
oManage complaints and contractor invoices efficiently.
 
2.Contractor Coordination:
oOrder work from contractors and oversee their projects, ensuring City standards are met.
oConduct sample inspections and address complaints in liaison with the call centre.
 
3.Hands-On Approach:
oUndertake minor repairs, including electrical works and support for lift entrapments during normal and on-call hours.
 
4.Emergency Support:
oAct as "Duty Manager" on a rotational basis, providing emergency out-of-hours support on the Barbican Estate.
 
5.Collaborative Project Management:
oCoordinate complex works with senior colleagues.
oManage multiple projects and budgets simultaneously, ensuring compliance with regulations.
 
6.Documentation and Analysis:
oAnalyze problems and prepare comprehensive documentation, including risk assessments, specifications, and legal documents.
oMaintain up-to-date programs, plans, registers, and asset data.
 
7.Inventory Management:
oMaintain a stock inventory record of tools and materials, supporting record-keeping and audit functions.
 
8.Void Property Management:
oCoordinate the preparation of void properties for letting, conducting pre-void and pre-letting inspections.
oEnsure voids meet the required standards promptly and cost-effectively.
 
9.Financial Controls:
oImplement appropriate controls for the certification of invoices and other documents.
 
10.Energy Advice:
oProvide energy advice and guidance to residents in accordance with City policy.
 
11.Estate Management:
oPlay an active role in managing estates within the area.
 
12.Administrative Duties:
oUndertake administrative duties, including maintaining computerized records.
 
13.Communication and Collaboration:
oAttend and actively participate in meetings with residents, contractors, and colleagues.
 
14.Health & Safety:
oImplement the City of London's Occupational Health and Safety Policy, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and others.

Qualifications and Experience:
·Relevant experience in property development and maintenance.
·Electrical Background
·Strong project management skills.
·Excellent communication and organizational skills.
