Electrical Quality Control Engineer

Role

- To provide technical support to the Operations Delivery Manager
- To monitor the various sub-contractor processes from survey, design to rectification
 
 
Primary Duties

- Provide technical support to the crowded meter room team using various communication methods.
- Assist in drafting site-specific RAMS for crowded meter room rectification work.
- Aid in creating tailored quotations for crowded meter room projects.
- Coordinate with crowded meter room subcontractors and establish strong professional relationships.
- Conduct quality checks on subcontractor work throughout the crowded meter room process, ensuring:
·Sufficient written information from surveying contractors
·Quality of photographs and design sketches meets standards
·Accuracy of design briefs and CAD drawings aligns with crowded meter room guidelines
·Electrical designs comply with BS7671 regulations
·Perform on-site quality checks, including ad-hoc checks on contractors' work in progress.
·Verify that electrical rectification work adheres to BS7671 regulations.
·Generate rectification sign-off certificates and completion documents according to crowded meter room guidelines.
 
Technical Skills, Knowledge & Experience:  

- Demonstrated knowledge of the crowded meter room project.
- Familiarity or experience with CMRs is advantageous.
- Ideally, hold BS7671 qualification as a metering engineer, with preference for those with electrical apprenticeships.
- Possession of C&G 2330 qualification or equivalent, with relevant industry experience considered.
- Understanding of health and safety protocols and quality management systems.
- Proven track record in the UK metering industry, especially in handling complex installations.
- Experience in electrical installation work.
- 18th Edition certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively communicating across different organizational levels.
- Adaptability to navigate complex environments with conflicting demands and make clear, consistent decisions.
- Comfortable working in environments with strict safety regulations.
- Self-driven and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home when necessary.
- Flexible attitude towards working hours.

·£45,000-£48,000 PAYE DOE
