Job description
Job Title: Electrical Project Engineer
Location: Yorkshire/Leeds
Salary: Up to £55,000 p/a
We are working with a leading contractor in the water sector who are looking to appoint an Electrical Project Engineer on a permanent basis. This role will be based mainly around Leeds and the wider Yorkshire region, delivering essential infrastructure schemes.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established team, taking technical ownership of projects from design through to completion. Typical schemes include pumping stations, dosing and chlorination systems, and associated water treatment assets.
The Role
·Manage electrical engineering projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring delivery on time, on budget and to the highest standards.
·Lead on electrical installations for water-related projects.
·Oversee early-stage site investigations and liaise with clients, designers and site teams.
·Prepare and review RAMS, method statements and project management plans.
·Manage procurement, suppliers and subcontractors.
·Contribute to design reviews, cost control and budget monitoring.
·Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards.
·Develop project programmes and manage ITPs throughout delivery.
·Support project close-out with as-built records, test certification and O&M documentation.
The Candidate
·Proven experience as an Electrical Project Engineer within the water or utilities sector.
·Relevant electrical qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
·Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
·Proficient with Microsoft Office; knowledge of Trimble (Amtech), AutoCAD or Relux advantageous.
·ATEX knowledge beneficial but not essential.
