Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer looking for your next contract?
 
If so, a fantastic opportunity has arisen for you to join a Local Authority in Greater London.
 
What will you do?
You'll be covering multiple projects from inception to completion as the design/contract manager with regards to cyclical replacements for residents of the councils 36,000 homes.
 
Responsibilities
·Manage multiple projects at any one time, both during the design stage and while on site, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to budget.
·Prepare reports, arrange, and attend meetings with stakeholders.
·Develop and deliver projects with clients and stakeholders.
·Deliver and maintain the highest standards of design, budget control and contract administration on all projects and maintenance contracts.
·Lead on procurement, design criteria and preparation of schemes, specifications, maintenance requirements, and estimates, selection of materials and equipment, project, and contract management.
·Ensure great communication with leaseholders.
·Examine tenders, accounts and claims rendered by contractors for accuracy.
·Liaise with other departments, such as Quantity Surveyors, Architects, Surveyors and Councillors. concerning design, maintenance, and user satisfaction feedback.
·Act as lead officer on feasibility studies, viability and for adherence to Islington Council Standards, Policies and Practices.
·Advise on the appraisal, selection, appointment and performance of contractors and sub-contractors.
 
What are the benefits?

·£25 per hour, umbrella, inside IR35
 
What will you need?
·3 years post qualification experience.
·Experience of working within a council or housing association with regards to repairs and maintenance on social housing property.   
Hold one of the following:
        ·Qualified as a Charted Engineer.
        ·Full member of Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers.
        ·Degree of Higher National Diploma in Building Services Engineering.
