Remote Working
Are you an Electrical Design Engineer with a couple of years' experience looking for more variety, flexibility and the chance to grow with a business on a strong upward trajectory? This is an excellent opportunity to join a Reading-based consultancy offering remote working and exposure to a broad mix of building services and infrastructure projects.
Following an exceptional last two years, the business is expanding its MEP capability and is looking to grow the team significantly. You'll be joining a close-knit MEP team of four, with plans to double in size this year, giving you the opportunity to develop quickly alongside a growing workload.
The Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you'll be involved in the design and delivery of electrical systems across a wide range of project types, gaining valuable experience in both building services and infrastructure-led schemes.
You'll be working on projects including:
·Residential and commercial developments
·Data centres and industrial facilities
·Wider infrastructure and utility-related design work
Your responsibilities will include:
·Producing electrical designs from concept through to detailed stages
·Supporting project delivery across building services and infrastructure projects
·Working collaboratively with mechanical engineers and other disciplines
·Preparing calculations, specifications and technical drawings
·Attending meetings and occasional site visits as required
·Developing your technical capability with support from senior engineers
What They're Looking For
·2-4 years' experience as an Electrical Design Engineer
·Background in building services design (infrastructure exposure beneficial but not essential)
·Experience working within a consultancy environment
·Solid understanding of UK standards and regulations
·A proactive attitude and desire to learn and develop
·Strong communication skills and ability to work remotely as part of a team
Why Join?
·Remote-first working with flexibility and trust
·Exposure to a diverse, technically interesting project portfolio
·Join a business in a strong growth phase, with genuine progression opportunities
·Work closely with senior engineers in a small, collaborative team
·Be part of a consultancy investing in its people as it scales
If you're looking for a role that offers flexibility, variety and the chance to grow alongside a successful consultancy, this could be a great next step.
