Salary:
Intermediate Ecologist: £28,000 to £32,000 plus van & fuel card.
Senior Ecologist: circa £36,000 plus van & fuel card.

A rail principal contractor are seeking Ecologists to join their Environmental team. This is a rail and forestry specialist that work directly with Network Rail. You will be joining a small team of Ecologists at different levels, as well as working with the business's supply chain.

At this company, you will be able to achieve promotions, receive funding & training to gain further qualifications including protected species licences, rail sector specific training etc.

Location: Kent office, 2-3 days on site per week and remainder in the office.
Site: Majority of sites will be based in the South East.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Ecology or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience as an Ecologist/EIA/Ecological Clerk of Works, significant experience required for Senior role.
  • Qualified or Associate of CIEEM. Student member of CIEEM with work experience can be considered for Intermediate role.
  • Preliminary Ecology Assessments/Phase 1 survey experience.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Familiar with the Biodiversity Metric.
  • Habitat survey experience highly advantageous.
  • PTS advantageous.
  • Full clean UK driving license.
  • Ability and willingness to travel across the UK.
  • Interest in working on Rail projects.
  • Full right to work in UK.
