A market leading consultancy is looking for a Drainage Design Lead to manage and implement surface water drainage for major infrastructure projects. This is a 12-month rolling contract and you will be required to travel to either London or Surrey 1-2 days per week. The remaining time can be spent working from home.
 
This position falls Inside IR35.
 
The role
 
You will be required to work with graduates and offshore designers to produce a detailed designs compliant with industry best practice. You must be competent and confident to review designs and have a strong understanding of the SUDS manual etc.
 
Key experience required
 
·Chartered Civil Engineer (essential)
·Design of Surface Water drainage across a 5km wide site
·Knowledge of CIRIA SuDS Guidance
·Design of Surface Water Retention Basins
·Design drainage infrastructure for roads, footpaths, railway, building areas, and laydown areas
·Design of watercourse (ditch/drain) diversion
·Confident and competent to represent the project with the client and external stakeholders
·Competent to provide technical guidance to graduates and offshore designers
·Familiarity with permitting FRAs (flood risk activities), LDCs (land drainage consents)
·Extensive Principal level experience
