Cost Consultant
Our client is seeking a Cost Consultant to join their team in either Bristol or Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your skills and make a significant impact within a supportive and innovative environment.
The consultancy works closely with developers, land promoters and owners of property and infrastructure projects across the UK to plan, design, cost and deliver their schemes.
Key Responsibilities:
·Support the team in preparing detailed cost estimates and viability analyses based on available design and technical information.
·Analyse project information to identify key cost drivers and value-impacting items.
·Utilize CAD and measurement software to support cost estimation and analysis.
·Assist the team in evaluating financial, technical, and operational risks associated with projects.
·Visit potential development sites to assess location, topography, constraints, and other relevant factors.
·Stay informed about current regulatory and legislative requirements affecting the industry.
·Prepare and present comprehensive cost reports and viability appraisals.
·Provide commercial and contractual guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
·Manage contract administration and provide post-contract commercial services.
Requirements:
·Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or a relevant field.
·Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
·Proficiency in CAD and measurement software.
·Ability to assess and manage risks effectively.
·Excellent communication and presentation skills.
·Experience in tendering and procurement processes.
·A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
